This information is a compilation of pesticide and yield information reported to MASC by producers. MASC does not assume responsibility for, and has not verified the accuracy of, the yield information reported by producers. This information is meant to be used as a planning tool in conjunction with common sense and experience. Contact your local Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives Representative for assistance in utilizing this information.

Yield Units
Imperial yields are reported on a per acre basis for each crop in the various standard units of measure: bushels, pounds, tons or hundred weight. In the case of bushels, the standard test weight for each crop will also vary. Use CAUTION when comparing yield values for crops where the standard unit of measure differs.

Pesticide Information
Producers report to MASC that they have used a product, but do not specify either the rate or percentage of acres that the product was actually applied. This means that pesticide acreage data for any product or group of products will tend to be overestimates. Additionally, overlapping product applications are counted as separate acreages, which means acreage totals can seem misleading (e.g. if 2,4-D and Refine Extra were applied to a 160-acre field, the total reported acreage would be 320-acres.

Producer Confidentiality Maintained
To maintain the confidentiality of producers, the data presented here is aggregated, and must be a compilation of data from at least three producers and a minimum of 500 acres. Results with data sets smaller than this are shown as 'Below Minimum Tolerance'.

Caution
Management and environmental influences have not been standardized in the reported values, so please exercise caution with interpreting the results, particularly when there is limited acreage or years of information. Data is most credible when it is obtained from a large acreage over many years for similar crops.
