Young Farmer Crop Plan Credit

Even to well-seasoned producers, the business of farming can seem overwhelming at times. To a young, beginning farmer with much less experience, the weight can feel even heavier, compounded with the dread of making an ill-timed, costly mistake.

The Young Farmer Crop Plan Credit program is designed to assist these young and beginning farmers with the costs of AgriInsurance, while ensuring their crop production decisions are made based on sound research, analysis and their own cost of production.

The program provides a one-time premium subsidy of up to ${program_details::subsidy} to young farmers who are enrolled in AgriInsurance for the first time. Receiving the credit is contingent on preparing a cropping plan that is acceptable to a Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives (MAFRI) Farm Production Advisor.
